Nursing Home Insurance

CHIS specialise in the insurance and risk management requirements of all care homes, including care homes with nursing services and those care homes catering for residents with mental health issues and learning disabilities.

Each category of care home or nursing home requires a slightly different level of insurance cover, care homes providing nursing services need to make sure they have full malpractice cover and ideally will check all nurses are members of the RCN and have the benefit of their own nursing malpractice insurance.

In recent times we have been working closely with the Registered Nursing Homes Association (RNHA) and have developed an exclusive facility for RNHA members which includes a separate malpractice section – this is usually placed within the public liability section of the cover.
